SAN RAMON, CA (April 25, 2019) – iSoccerPath (ISP), the premier education company for families of prospective college soccer athletes, is pleased to announce the addition of Maurice Edu to their advisory committee. Edu’s long-standing professional soccer career, on and off the field, brings valuable insight to the strategic organization and operations of iSoccerPath.
Maurice Edu is a former number one overall MLS Draft Pick, MLS Rookie of the Year, and United States National team member. During an international career that spanned 2007-2014, Edu earned 46 caps and scored one goal for the United States. He previously served as a member of the 2008 Olympic team and 2010 FIFA World Cup squad. Edu’s professional soccer career included playing for the Glasgow Rangers FC, winning the Scottish Premier League three times; Stoke City; Turkish side Bursaspor; and the Philadelphia Union. Edu retired in March of 2019 as one of the most successful U.S. players in history.
“We are very proud to have Maurice Edu join the iSoccerPath advisory committee as he brings a long history of professional experience and critical knowledge that will support iSoccerPath’s mission to help high school soccer athletes earn a roster spot on a collegiate team.” said Jeff Jaye, Founder and President of iSoccerPath.
In addition to providing strategic advice for the organization, Edu will be instrumental in ISP soccer ID Camps, learning portals, partnerships and company growth.
“After over a decade of pursuing my passion for professional soccer, I am honored to now be a part of an organization that enables me to use my talents off the field to change the lives of aspiring athletes on the field,” says Maurice Edu. “I bring valuable insight earned during my years in MLS and abroad, and am ecstatic to translate this into strategic advice for iSoccerPath that will not only benefit young soccer players, but the soccer community as a whole.”
